Story About Cheating In Exams

Cheating means copying other's work. Generally, those boys and girls who do not take their studies seriously, try to copy down the answer from the others. They do not work hard and seldom bother about their examination.

  When the examination approaches, they begin thinking about the ways and means to somehow pass the examination. Such students disturb and bother others in the examination hall. Sometimes, they are caught cheating and land themselves in trouble. It becomes difficult for them to come out of the messy situation.

The following story will illustrate this point.

There was a boy, named Hari, who always was non - serious in his studies. He liked to have fun all the time.

It so happened, just on the eve of his examination, a few relatives came to visit Hari's family. They wanted to visit the historical places of the city. They had come in a big car. Hari had the temptation to join them for fun. He was very fond of a car-ride and he liked visiting places as well.

Hari knew that joining them for an outing would upset his preparations for his examination.

Caring least for his studies and preparation, he decided to have a nice time with them. 

He was excited to think that it would be a fun-filled day. They would have a long drive and visit Red Fort, Qutub Minar, the Zoo and eat out in a good restaurant.

The whole day was spent in fun and frolic. On his return home, he was so tired that he fell asleep. He had a good sleep. When he woke up in the morning, he was already late to get ready for school. There was hardly any time to revise for the examination.

  But, even then he wasn't worried at all for he knew that his friend Krishna would come fully prepared for the examination and he would sit next to him and copy from his answer book.

Hari was successful in his plan. He was able to cheat correctly word by word because Krishna always wrote in big and bold writing. When the teacher distributed the answer-sheets after marking, Hari found that he had scored more marks than Krishna.

How had that happened? It was due to the fact that Krishna didn't know the answer to one of the questions but Hari had managed to copy it down from another boy Anil who was sitting on his other side.

Hari's result surprised the teacher all the more because Hari was never able to answer any question in the class. In fact, Hari didn't know anything as such.

The teacher was so annoyed that she decided to hold an oral test. She was sure of the cheating done by Hari. The teacher's guess was absolutely correct when Hari failed to answer any of  the questions put to him.  He was found out at last. In order to punish Hari for his mistake, She deducted all the marks. Hari really felt ashamed of himself. He realised his mistake.

He learnt a great lesson never to cheat again. He learnt that cheating may help for the time being but will never allow real progress. cheating spoils our habit and we never gain self-confidence to pass the examination of life. School examination is only a small examination that teaches us that only hard work and honestly leads to success and cheating never takes us far. Always remember that life is a test which we have to passed with flying colours only then God will be happy with us.

 You know, some grown-ups also cheat. They cheat others by their sweet talks.  They trick others into their plan. Thus, they keep on cheating people of their valuables and sometimes some smart cheaters even cheat bank for money. But when such persons are found out, they get severe punishment. They are imprisoned and forced to spend their whole life in jail. Such people can never live in peace. They live in constant fear of the law.

 So, the golden principle is to work hard and never cheat other because God doesn't like the cheaters.
