Story Bear And Two Friends
Friends are like sunshine in our life. They make our life happy and better in many ways. They share their things with us.
They help us when we need their help. That is why, it is often said, "A friend in need is a friend indeed."
We should love and value our friends. We should never be selfish. We should keep our friend's interest dear to our heart.
If your friend is weak in studies, don't tempt him to play and waste his time. You can do a great service to him by helping him in his studies. This way he can make up for his deficiency soon.
Selfish friends do not last. They end up their friendship the moment their work is done. They sometimes land you in troubles. So, beware of such false friends.
The story below will tell you what a false friend can do to you.
Once, there were two friends. They decided to go to the city to find some work. They set out on a journey. They carried along with them plenty of food and clothes.
They promised to be together through thick and thin. They vowed to help each other. Now, on the way, they had to cross a forest. This forest was full of wild animals. They started early in the morning so that they were able to clear out this part of journey during daytime only.
Both were quite active and smart. They walked fast talking and joking through out the journey. Just as they were sharing a joke, One of them saw a bear coming towards them. This scared them very much and they didn't know what to do.
Quick as a wink, one of them climbed up leaving the other to fend for himself. The other one did not know how to climb up the tree. So, he stood helplessly under the tree. He cursed his uncaring and selfish friend. He at once felt hatred towards this false friend.
However, he had heard earlier that a bear does not eat the dead. So, he lay down pretending to be dead.
Meanwhile, the bear came near him. He sniffed him all around and went away thinking that he was dead. The bear disappeared into the woods.
All this while, the other friend had watched everything carefully. After the bear had gone out of sight, he climbed down the tree and tried to cut joke with his friend.
He asked, "Hey, what was the big joke the bear was sharing with you! By the way, what did he whisper in your ears?"
This made the other friend all the more angry. He answered, "Yes, the bear did tell me something. He told me never to trust fair weather friends."
Now, the smart fellow felt ashamed of himself and was feeling very sorry. But his friend had decided not to have a selfish friend like him.
Therefore, We should always try to be a true friend. A true friend is a gift of God. He is really a bone to us. He will never let you down in times of trouble.H
Haven't you heard of the friendship between Krishna and Sudama? Krishna was himself the Lord and Sudama was a poor man. The two were friend and class-mates at one time. Unable to bear his poverty, Sudama asked for Krishna's help. We all know how Krishna changed Sudama's life with his bounty. Thus, if somebody wants to talk of ideal and model friendship, he cites the example of Krishna and Sudama only. That always stands apart.
Therefore always be sincere and true to your friends.
Remember, true friends Provide happiness. They double your joy and divide your sorrow.
