Once upon a time, there was a boy named Aladdin. He lived with his mother. They were very poor. One day, a rich man came to their house. Aladdin's mother did not know him. He was looking for Aladdin. He wanted to take Aladdin with him for some work. He promised to pay his mother a lot of money.

Aladdin's mother trusted the man and allowed him to take away her son. They needed the money. But she did not know that the man was a magician.

  Aladdin and the magician went very far. They stopped at a lovely spot. No man could be seen there. The magician took out some coloured powder from his pocket and threw it on the ground. The next moment there was smoke all around. Soon the smoke cleared away. Aladdin saw a cave in the ground.

The magician sad," Aladdin go inside the cave. You will also see lots of gold inside. Take as much as you want. You will also see an old lamp. Get that lamp for me." Aladdin entered the cave nervously as he was doubtul that there would be any gold.

  But when he entered he saw gold everywhere. He filled up his pockets with it till they nearly burst at the seams. He also found an old and dirty lamp. He took the lamp and called out to the magician to help him out. "Give me the lamp first,"  the magician said. Aladdin said," Please pull me out first."

 The magician got angry.  He took out some more powder from his pocket and threw it into the cave. The caves closed up with a large rock. Aladdin was trembling like a leaf. He shouted for help but in vain. It seemed all hope was lost till Aladdin started cleaning the lamp.

 Suddenly, there was a strange fog in the room. Aladdin heard a voice, "My master, I am the genie of this lamp. What do you want?" It was a huge, strange looking man. Aladdin was scared. But the genie asked him not to fear. He would obey him. Aladdin said, "Take me to my home."

Soon Aladdin was home with his mother. She embraced him. Aladdin told her all about the magician and his dirty trick. Aladdin called the genie again and said,''I want a palace."

The genie granted him his wish and soon the palace was built.

  Aladdin became more famous. He married a princess, the daughter of the Sultan. The magician, too, heard all about Aladdin. He came to Aladdin's palace as an old man.  The princess was not aware of the magic lamp. She gave it to the magician. He run away with the lamp.

 When Aladdin returned home he could not find his palace and his princess, nor his mother. He had a ring given to him by the magician. He rubbed the ring and another genie appeared. "Take me to whenever my princess is!" He ordered the genie. 

The very next moment Aladdin found himself in the desert in his palace. His princess and his mother were there and he was glad to see them safe. Before the magician could reach him. Aladdin quickly jumped and grabbed the lamp.  He then rubbed the lamp and the first genie appeared.

"My master," The genie said, "I am so happy to serve you again. What do you wish for?" Aladdin said, "Send this evil magician to a different palace.  He should never harm anyone or return here again.
