God has given us loving parents. Our parents do everything for us out of affection. They do not have any kind of gain in mind. They work hard to fulfill their children's needs.

They feed us, they clothe us and they educate us. They care for us when we are sick. They comfort us in whatever way they can. Their only aim is our well-being and happiness.

 Have you ever noticed how hard your father works to provide you with books, toys and other needs? He works hard to cater to all these needs. He denies himself of many comforts and sacrifice just to make you happy.

your mother is always loving and caring. She looks after you in every way.

She looks after you when you are sick. She helps you prepare for school. She helps you in your homework.

 She keeps the home neat and tidy.

  In fact, every mother does so much for her family. She cares for her child as he/she grows from a baby to an adult. She teaches the child many things. She is really the first 'Guru' of the child. She is the first teacher and thus the home became the first school. You cannot imagine how much the mother has to sacrifice to see her child grow up to be a good person.

How can you ever repay your parents for their service?  Surely, you must repay it only with love. You can serve them by helping them in their work.

You can help your mother in her work. You can run errands for her by fetching things from the market. You can help her at meal times by laying the table. You can help in keeping the house tidy. Likewise you can help your father in your small ways.

  Always obey your parents, as nothing hurts them more than an indiscipline child. Remember, your parents scold you or punish you when you misbehave in any way. Do not mind it. They just want to correct you. They do it to make you a better person. It is only to improve your behaviour. You should be thankful to them in such situations. They are your true guide and friend.

Therefore, love and respect your parents. Be tender and loving towards them in all stages of their life. God rewards such children who care for their parents. So, never be wanting in doing what you should for your parents. Always pray for their well-being.

 Here is a prayer you should say for your parents.

Dear God! Bless my father and mother also,

Take care of me for,

Thou hasn't given me to them,

But I still belong to Thee.

Bless them for their own sake,

Bless them for their love for me.

Give them health, give them happiness,

Give them every grace.
