A Rich Lady But She Was Miser Story : Kids Story To Read Book Online In English

    Once there was a rich lady. She lived in a big house but she was very miser.

 She never gave alms to the beggars. one day an old man came to her house. 

He was hungry. He asked for some food. 

The lady said," I have no food in my house to give you."

The old man said," Do you have some salt? I can make a tasty soup from salt."

"Salt soup." The lady was surprised,

"Yes" said the old man,"I will make salt soup. Please give me some salt.

The lady went to the kitchen and brought some salt. She gave the salt to the old man.

He put it in a cooking pot,

Poured some water into and boiled it Then he tasted it and said,"This is very tasty. 

But if you have some potatoes, It will taste better with potatoes.

The lady again went to the kitchen and brought some potatoes. The old man cut the potatoes and put the pieces in the soup.

He tasted the soup again and said,"Oh ! very nice,It is really tasty."

The old man said ,"Are there any tomatoes?

The tomatoes will make the soup very delicious."

The lady brought some tomatoes from the kitchen. The old man cut the tomatoes and put the pieces of tomatoes into the soup.

"Good, now the soup will have strong taste." said the old man.

the lady was now feeling very hungry and wanted to taste the soup. In the mean time the old man said,"Do you have some cheese?

It will add good flavor to the soup."

The lady brought some cheese. The old man cut it into small piece and put them into the pot. Then he asked for some pepper. The old man tasted the soup and said,"It is really the nicest soup I have ever taken."

But the soup tastes better with a slice of bread. The lady now brought some slices of bread and they both enjoyed the soup with slices of bread.

"The salt soup is really very tasty",said the lady "You seem to be a very good cook," She added.
