Children's Homework Story : Who Did Patrick's Homework Story In English
Patrick's Homework Story In Story
Patrick hever did his homework. "Too boring." he would say. He went to school,
Play games and went to sleep, but he never did his homework. His teacher told him," Patrick! Do your homework or you won't learn a thing"
Sometimes Patrick didn't know many of the things that the other students seemed to know so well and he felt like an ignorant fool. But what could he do? He just hated doing his homework.
One day he found his cat playing with a litle doll and he grabbed it away. To his surprise, it wasn't a doll at all, but a man of the tiniest size - a tiny elf! He had a little red and black checked woollen shirt with old-fashioned brown breeches and wore a high black hat much like that of a witch. Tight in Patrick's grip, he yelled,
"Save me! Save me, please! Don't give me back to that cat. I'll do anything you say.
I promise!"
Patrick couldn't believe his eyes and ears! How lucky he was! Here was the answer
to all his problems. So he said, "Only if you do all the homework that are mine till
the end of the term, that's 35 days, and if you do it well and I get all A's, will I be
pleased."
The little man's face wrinkled like a dishcloth thrown in the hamper. He kicked
legs and doubled his fists and grimaced and scowled and pursed has lips. "Oh,Am I
cursed! But I'll do it. But then you will have to let me go after that!"
"Alright!" said Patrick.
And true to his word, the little elf began to do Patrick's homework. Except that there
was one glitch. The elf didn't always know what to do or how to do so he always
needed help. "Help me! Help me!" he'd say. And Patrick would have to help-in
whatever way, After all he wanted someone to do his homework!
"I don't know this word," the elf squeaked while reading Patrick's homework. "Get
me a dictionary. Or better still, look up the word and sound it out by each letter."
When it came to math, Patrick was out of luck, "What are times tables?"
The elf shrieked. We elves need that. And addition and subtraction and division and
Fraction? Here, sit down beside me and simply guide me." Elves know nothing of
human history. To them it's a mystery. So the little elf, already a shouter, just got
louder. "Go to the library, I need books. More and more books. And you can help me read them, too.
As a matter of fact, every day in every way that little elf was a nag! Patrick was working harder than ever and it was a drag! He was staying up nights and had never felt so weary. He was going to school
with a bleary eye.
Finally, the last day of school arrived and the elf was free to go. As for homework, there was no more, so he quietly and slyly slipped out of the back door, Patrick got all his A's.
His classmates were amazed. His teachers smiled and were full of praise. And his parents? They wondered what had happened to Patrick. He was now the model kid. He cleaned his room, did his chores, and was cheerful and never rude.
It was like he had developed a whole new attitude and a new personality. He not only knew everything there was to
know, but also how to do things he had never done before!
You see, in the end, Patrick still thought he'd made that tiny man do all his homework.
But I'll share a secret just between you and me. It wasn't the elf. Patrick had done it himsell!
